I don't think putting purple, skinny jeans(Resisting urge to make a transexual joke about that)on your char, but otherwise not changing it at-all, is considered a "revamp"

that's not all he did.look at the 2 and see the differences

Reply Guest, June 18th, 2010, 10:30 pm

Yeah, the only difference is the pose, and the pants. No real design change. -_-

The Jeans are not Skinny Enough.

Not bad for one of your first tries, but its not very good.
A sonic character with only pants on is almost as generic as a jacket with jeans.

why are wolves always grey hedgehogs with a tail.

Because Dicks

The only way you can put purple/pink/any other feminine color on your character without a trans/gay joke, is if it's actually a good sprite.

Anyways I might as well crit this since Im here.

The fringe could use a little bit of work, mainly the fact that it looks like the same old fringe that everyone else uses on their first sprite.

The eyes look okay, but they come to a point at the top, maybe try to round that out a bit.

maybe you could try editing the tail to make it look unique?

The shoe shading and design could use some work, you could try looking at a shoe you like on google and make it on the sprite.

The hand is square and doesn't show any signs of having fingers, the hand has a different light source, try making the hand shading come from the right instead of the left.

The pants are good for a first attempt, but change the shading around, it all looks to be one colour.

Also don't mind what anyone said about the pants colour. It's just a colour, there is no reason your pants have to be black, blue or brown. Purple is a colour, just like any other.

Also maybe once you're comfortable with the design and shading, you could change the chest area to have markings and stuff or maybe you could add a shirt to it?

But it's nice to see that you're starting towards editing instead of recolouring.

Thanks for reading this. -Zephyr

^Yeah, 'stance' is better. No one likes that generic pose. -3-

ok. thanks for the c+c. like i said before, i am having trouble with the quills. i'll try to make the pants skinniER, and i did notice that the pants dont have enough shading. why i chose purple for a color is because of Remy, a character from Street Fighter 3. the pallate looked cool i decided to make him like Remy. maybe i'll change his name.

Reply ShadowForce, June 21st, 2010, 1:05 pm

The sprite is rly well put together. But...

The quills need to be shaded more.

Also, make sure the pants are shaded a little bit more effectively.

Finally, I say add a shirt. It would make it look better. Ur choice.
